We got the best impressions from Paxi. It is a tiny island and you generally do not need a car to go all around it, except if you want to rent a motorbike. You can do most tranfer either by taxi (distances can get no bigger than 10 km, so taxi fares are low) or by boat to go to beaches. Do not spend all of your holiday there, since in 3 or 4 days you will have seen what you have to see. For me, the best thing is to combine a week to Corfu and a weekend to Paxi. Also, do not miss to go to Antipaxoi, the best beaches are found there. Extremely sandy and too clean. Prices are generally high, especially in taverns, probably because the inhabitants are based only on summer tourism to make their living.
