Mogonisi Beach Paxi: It is hard to believe that the beautiful and picturesque Mongonisi beach has only recently been created by blowing up nearby cliffs with dynamite, and which was then filled with sand.

The sandy beach is perfect in all regards, with stunning blue water and picturesque cliffs nearby. It is quite popular as it is ideal for swimming and perfectly safe for children, as well as the elderly or even inexperienced swimmers. Mongonisi beach also provides free mooring for a maximum of 50 boats and yachts.
 
There are many facilities provided at this beautiful beach for visitors, this includes toilet and shower facilities, as well as sun - beds and umbrellas. The nearby tavern is a good place to appease your hunger. One distinct feature is the pedal boats for hire, while kayaking is another possibility here, the fun never ends. Children can be left to play in the sand, even while eating, as the tavern has seats out in the garden along the sand. This ensures that everyone has fun. A visit to Mongonisi beach is a must for all visitors, with or without families.
