Meganisi is definitely not a shopping island. It offers only some valuable items typical of the area, which range from local handicrafts and trinkets to a good variety of souvenirs.
You can also find intricate hand-embroidered items such as tablecloths and doormats, which constitute the work of the women who live in the villages of Meganisi and Lefkada.
Spartohori has got a number of shops that sell culinary items. The most popular items in Meganisi include homemade olive oil pressed in Spartohori and famous Greek delicacies, such as thyme-infused honey and the island’s special almonds.
