 The small and isolate island of Mathraki is located only 4 n.m. north of Arillas Cape, Corfu. Part of the Diapontia islands (along with Othoni and Ereikoussa), Mathraki is known for its virgin nature and the crystal beaches. The capital village is Chorio and the main port is Plakes.
Mathraki also has some of the finest and most isolate beaches in Greece. The most famous beach is Portello, a long and sandy coast, but there are also plenty of other beautiful beaches to swim, such as Apidies, Arvanitiko and Fyki.
