| The little village has a large range of accommodations, taverns, bars, shops, etc... |
Our
Impressions: |
This village nestles around a bay and the centre is not accessible by car. The road above the village is often full of parked cars with people leaving them here to walk down towards the water. The main thoroughfare has the usual range of tourist shops and bars but away from here the village is very pretty. A maze of paths covers its small confines and as you walk around you can admire the architecture which is typical of the island. There are many hotels here and the small bay at the bottom is very busy. The sand here is quite pebbly but the steep rock face gives the beach a nice feel. Cypress trees sit on the hills above. The beach here is used as an access point for Milos Beach by caique.
Impressions: This is a pretty little village with a nice beach at the bottom and well worth a visit. If you do go be prepared to face the crowds and you will find towards the beach the area getting less prettier as the tourist shops begin. |
