Description: The town is the economic and cultural center of the island, with the houses built in a unoque way, so as to resist the often earthquakes.

Location: 1,2 kilometers from the capital of the island.
Description: It is a medieval castle built by the Franks who occupied Lefkada in 1294 and it had the primary goal of protecting the old town.

::Porto Katsiki beach

Location: 40 km south west from Lefkada town
Description: It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and is very popular for its smooth white sand and the steep hills surrounding it.

:: Gramophones Museum of Lefkada

Location: In the capital town of Lefkada
Description: It has an excellent collecxtion of old gramophones and also of various other items from te daily life of the island's habitants.

:: Kathisma beach

Location: 14 kilometers from the capital
Description: The beach has fine white sand and you can find also plenty of water sports. Available are also restaurants, accommodation, cafes etc.

:: Papanikolis sea cave

Location: Located in Meganisi of Lefkada, about 12 nautical miles away from the capital
Description:According to archaeologists this cave used to be the shelter for a submarine with the same name.

Location: 12 km west from Lefkada town
Description: It is a picturesque fishing village that is really popular among tourists and has many facilities, as well as a small family beach.

:: Dimossari Waterfalls

Location: In the outskirts of Nidri village
Description: A gorgeous waterfall that has its source up in Lefakda mountains and ends into a gorge with white rocks. Many visitors can be seen swimming in its crystall clear waters.

:: Ecclesiastical Museum of Faneromeni Monastery

Location: 4 km from Lefkada town
Description: This museum is hosted by the Faneromeni Convent of Lefkada and contains rare paintings from the post Byzantine period, as well as manuscripts and antique prints that belonges to the convent's library.

:: Agios Ioannis beach

Location: A couple of kilometers from Lefkada capital
Description: Endless golden beach, one of the best on the island reminding of a Carribean landscape. Also known for windsurfing beacause of the strong winds.

:: Church of Panagia Hodeghetria

Location: 2 kilometres from Apolpaina village
Description: One of the oldest churches on the island, with superb frescoes decoration. It was built in the 15th century and is supposed to have served as a residence to the sister of John Paleologos VII, Helen.
