This opportunity to sail to the rarely visited islands of Kalamos and Kastos, on board the lovely sailing boat CHRISTINA is a must.
The boat will depart at 09.30 from Nidri to sail aside MEGANISI island and to make its first stop in the cave of Papanicolis, to take photographs.
Its then off the village of Kastos. On Kastos island, which is build around the harbor in an amphitheater pattern. The houses are made of stone and surrounded by olive trees and so traditional with window shutters painted in different colors.
There will be time to look around the village and to visit the oldest monastery of Ag. Ioannis, which was build in the 17th century, and is decorated with lovely oil painted icons. The captain will then take you to see the remains of huge whale skeleton which is an old monks chamber near the church.
The boat continues its sail to find a beautiful beach on Kastos island for swimming and snorkeling. There you will be offered a buffet lunch on board the Christina.
Our next stop will be KALAMOS island and Kalamos village. Here you will have time to look around the traditional village and you can also enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the local taverns. There will be also a stop on the Kalamos island for swimming.
Finally on our return journey the Christina will sail to SCORPIOS island and the captain will tell you all about the Onasi's family before arriving back to Nidri.

Time Table of Tour
At 10:15 we make our first stop at the cave of Papanikolis (Meganisi) where you can take photos.
At 11:00 we arrive at the island of Fermakoulo, where you can swim in the crystal waters.
At 12:00 we arrive at the island of Kastos. There you can visit Kastos village and see the old Monastery of Ag. Ioannis and traditional windmills.
At 13:15 we sail to the beautiful Limni beach (on Kastos island). There you can enjoy a swim and later you will be offered a buffet-lunch onboard.
Our next stop is at Kalamos village (on Kalamos island) at 15:15. There you will have the time to look around the traditional village.
At 15:45 we make a stop at Asprogiali beach (on Kalamos) for a swim and our next stop for swimming is at the islet of Scorpios at 17:15.
We take the way back at 17:50 and we arrive at Nidri port at 18:00.
