The Alkyon Hotel is an apartment complex built in the traditional fishing village of Lygia, on the island of Lefkas. It consists of 6 studio apartments, 8 two-room apartments and 2 separate three-storey houses. Each one has it’s own style and is decorated with handmade furnishings, wooden ceilings and spacious balconies. The Alkyon can accommodate up to 50 people. The resort is located at 90 meters from the sea and 60 meters from the provincial road (leading from Lefkas to Nidri).
Accommodation
The Alkyon comprises of 4 other buildings besides the reception. The different buildings are called Kyrki, Kalypso, Aiolos and Apollon, names deriving from Greek Mythology.
• Kyrki is a two-storey building (ground floor and 1st floor) containing 2 studio apartments and 4 two-room apartments.
• Kalypso also has a ground floor and 1st floor and consists of 4 studio apartments and 4 two-room apartments.
• The detached, three-storey house called Aiolos has a kitchen and living room with 2 built-in sofa beds on the ground floor. On the 2nd and 3rd floor are to similar bedrooms - both with bathroom - decorated in traditional style. The house also has a private terrace and balconies. Aiolos - enclosed by the greenery of Alkyon’s lush gardens – can accommodate up to 6 persons.
• The other detached house, Apollon, has a similar design on the ground floor with a kitchen and living room with built-in sofa bed and a private terrace outside. The spacious bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor (with balcony) both have a bathroom and balcony and are decorated in a modern style.
All the studio’s and apartments are independent units offering a kitchenette with a fridge and cooking facilities on an electric hob, a television, air-conditioning and a safe.
