It's Friday and I'm just finishing my first full week back at work after returning from Lefkas and the lovely Hotel Aliki.... and man do I wish I was back there!
Zois, Angelos and Rena - A BIG thank you for a fantastic week. Your warm hospitality and laid back style ensured we had a totally relaxing week in the sun. It was perfect, thank you.
For those considering Lefkas and this hotel - don't hesitate, get booking! I'd fully recommend the place. The island is great - with stunning views of neighbouring islands and out across the bay to the mainland, fantastic beaches with crystal clear waters, mountains dotted with quaint little villages, and of course loads of superb Greek food. You'll need to hire a car to get around - but it's a real pleasure cruising about the discovering it's secrets.
If you're a Brit like me - then you may also be glad to hear that we're pretty thin on the ground over there - barely an English voice was heard all week.
The hotel's great. Situated on a hill overlooking the picturesque bay it's perfectly located for base from which to explore the island. The rooms are immaculate (get one with a view), there's a stylish pool, and a good breakfast spread each day. Nidri (the main tourist resort) is a 5 min taxi ride down the road and packed full of decent tavernas, bars and shops... though I'd definitely recommend at least one night out in Sivota. A 20 minute drive south - but a beautiful setting and simple incredible seafood.
Great place, great hotel.... loved it.
