 The Wine festival in Mitata: The annual Wine Festival of Kythira takes place in the village of Mitata, placed in the centre of the island. It is celebrated the first weekend of August and is a fun occasion. Locals and visitors get together in order to celebrate the production of good wine, which is given free during the festival.
