Villages: Agia Pelagia village in Kythira |
Agia Pelagia Village Kythira: The village of Agia Pelagia is placed to the north of Kythira island, 20 km far from Chora. Until the 1950’s, this village was basically a fishing hamlet with a nice wharf and small houses.
However, it has grown so fast over the decades, that it became a well-reputed tourist spot, with many hotel rooms as well as several restaurants, cafes and gift shops. Its port is today one of the two most importants on the island, being the main anchorage of the ferries and hydrofoils that cover short distances from Neapolis, in the Peloponnesse, to Kythira island.
In addition, it has some great beaches that constitute remarkable tourist attractions. All in all, it is a nice village to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature… |
