Platia Ammos Beach Kythira: The long beach of Platia Ammos is located 30 km north of Chora, the capital of Kythira and close to the village of Karavas. The small coastal settlement lies around the calm natural bay which is right next to the fishing port. Platia Ammos is the ideal place for swimming and sunbathing with a superb view of the Peloponnese. The combination of pebbles and sand and the charming atmosphere of the village is quite relaxing.

After a refreshing swim in Platia Ammos you shall visit one of the waterfront taverns and restaurants facing the endless blue sea. Two kilometres south, the little pebbled beach of Fourni is even quieter and more attractive, with its beautiful crystal-clear waters.
