Kefalonia Reviews -General

I enjoyed my stay in Kefalonia.
We were 5 people and stayed for a week (then we went to Zakynthos).
We learned that the island had suffered a very violent earthquake in 1953; this explains why the capital and most of the village are nothing special; only the villages of Fiscardo and Kourkoumelata had the chance to escape; they have kept the traditional architecture and are particularly charming. So even if the island lacks of beautiful villages, it sure doesn?t lacks of beautiful beaches.
We found so many splendid places to bath that it was hard to make a choice. The famous beach of Myrtos is really impressive but it is crowded. But because Kefalonia is full of wonderful beaches you will have no trouble to find a calmer place to enjoy your holidays.
