We have been to Lixouri 5 times and am just about to leave for the sixth on September 03. The town is really quaint never a lot of tourists as it is the resort the Greeks go on holiday. There is a large 4star hotel in the resort but otherwise you can find a lot of inexpensive self catering or Bed... More >

On the east coast of Kefalonia is the small, engaging village of Agia Efimia. Wandering through the lanes, the scent of jasmine is overpowering. The gardens are well tended with a good selection of vegetables and vines and flowers trailing over trellises. Invariably a dog and a couple of chickens... More >

The journey from the airport may take one and half hour but to discover Fiscardo is well worth the effort. Kefalonia is a wonderful Island. We stayed in Fiscardo for a week in a villa and it was fabulous! There are some amazing little hidden beaches and coves to discover, many had great little tavernas. The villages are very picturesque and unspoilt - as is the whole island in my opinion. Fiscardo is... More >
