Archaeological Museum of Argostoli: The archaeological museum is located in the town of Argostoli, the capital of the island of Kefalonia. Its collection consists of a number of antiques unearthed from the island of Kefalonia, dating from pre-historic times to the Roman period. It also houses a formidable collection of Mycenaean findings.
Some of the important exhibits on display are the 12th century B.C Mycenaean kylix which is a conical footed cup, found at the
Mycenaean cemetery of Lakkithra; A 12th century bronze fibula, a row of 8 - figured loops shaped bow; two-handled krater with paneled motives found at the Diakata cemetery and a 12th century gold necklace with twisted spirals.
