This interesting museum is housed in the ground floor of the Corgialenion Library, in the capital of Kefalonia.
It has been founded in order to preserve the memory of the political, economical, social and historical conditions of Kefalonia before the earthquake of 1953.
The archives of the museum consist in various documents, personal items, portraits, tools, utensils, maps, icons, photography, books and much more, dating from the beginning of the 15th century and after.
The museum also houses a collection of drawings of women costumes as they used to be between the 16th and the 19th century. |
