Support beauty not hooligans

Kefalonia is a very nice island, though some areas are rather touristic. It is great for relaxing and has amazing beaches. Certainly go to Myrtos and then get off the beaten track and discover your own small paradises: there are plenty of small beaches where you can be almost all alone, even in high season. The island is so big that it is so easy to get lost from crowds!
The only thing that strikes me bad every year is how negligent some people, locals and tourists alike, threat the beautiful nature : lots of garbage. Please, take care of mother earth, do not take it for granted!
Fiskardo, to my personal opinion, is totally fake. Assos is more real and more beautiful, it doesn't try to be picturesque, it is picturesque! In the tourist developed areas, you really have to search for the genuine greek food and spirit. Some tourists expect that they are served the same food as at home (sausages, BBQ-sauce, etc) and some restaurants try to satisfy that demand. Please, hang on to the true character of your beautiful island. Don't support hooligan invasion. Support the incredible beauty of Kefalonia with all your heart!
