Skala Kefalonia: The small fishing village of Skala sits on the southern tip of Kefalonia near Mounda bay. It has a beautiful long sandy beach bordered by dense bush hills and rocky outcrops.

A secluded feeling enchants the mood but there is a stone pavement to the beach and a parking lot nearby. The water is clear and the beach has received the blue flag in 2003.
 
The beach is well tourist developed and active during summer but still you can easily find a secluded spot on the long stretch. Then don’t forget to bring your umbrella as the parasols and chairs are laid only on the main part of the beach near Skala village.

Snorkeling is a nice activity on the beach while boats with glass floors let you enjoy rides to the nearby islets.
There are cafes and bars on the main part of the beach and the nearby Skala village is a pleasant little town with markets, british pubs, taverns and vehicle-rentals.
