The beach is noticeably different than those on the main part of the island with its golden red soft sand. The water here is less clear and also colder. The journey via road is pleasant with a flurry of swallows in the air as you approach. A good view of Vardaini island is offered from here. An incline of about 3 metres ebbs and flows at the back of the beach which stretches on for some distance.
The beaches in the south west are more wind swept and a bit more exposed than those on the mainland. This aside, a nice beach. |
