Mounda Beach Hotel
My husband and I stayed at Mounda Beach Hotel for a few days honeymoon after our wedding in Zakynthos. The hotel was a few km from Skala and signposted from the main road, which made it easy for us to find when arriving late at night. The reception from the manager and staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The hotel is small villa style accomodation set in a beautiful garden, we had the biggest and quietest room i have ever had on holiday with the most beautiful views from the veranda, of the gardens and the beach. It was so very tranquil compared to large high rise tourist hotels i have stayed at all over greece in my years of visiting it, Our room was throughly cleaned regularly during our stay, and had romantic and creative touches added (fresh flowers arranged on our bedside tables etc). The manager is a really lovley guy called Alex who speaks good English and he personally recommended us places to go and things to see during our days in Kefalonia, which were great recommendations and we really enjoyed visiting. Breakfast at the hotel was an amazing spread, brought to your own table, of yoghurt with honey, greek pastries and biscuits,coffee, orange juice, and plates of salad, ham and cheeses all included in the price of a night at Mounda Beach. It was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had! The evening meals were also perfect. The fish was so fresh, the wine selection fantastic, and the sound of the sea so close to the dining balcony made our honeymoon as utterly romantic as it could possibly be! I had to write a review of this hotel, as it is the best hotel I have stayed in by miles and the manager and staff really go out of their way to welcome and look after you. My husband and I will definately be staying here again and I would recommend it to anyone.
