We had visited the Summery many times before but not as residents of the Hotel, we had always booked through travel agents in the past. This year, we decided to be brave and book our holiday independently. The best decision we ever made, travelling over on the ferry to Lixouri after taking a taxi from the airport was so quick and easy! 7

We were met by the friendly team at the hotel and we were not disappointed, we were made so welcome. This hotel is extraordinary, it is so friendly and clean where nothing is too much trouble. Location-wise, it has to be the best position in Lixouri, no roads to contend with - right outside is the pool and a few paces beyond straight into the shallow, warm sea. Perfect lunches every day and in the evenings a short five minute stroll and you are in the square where you can relax, have a drink and a meal and watch the world go by.

Within minutes of arriving at the Summery, you feel as though you have 'come home'. We are back in UK less than 24 hours and are already planning our next visit! Our sincere thanks to the whole team at the Summery and we look forward to seeing you all again SOON! Kind regards, Trevor and Dawn

8 weeks have now gone-by since we returned to the UK from our holiday at the Summery Hotel, but the fantastic memories still vividly remain.
The stunning sea views across the bay towards Argostoli and the mountains; a refreshing morning swim in the sea; breakfast in the cool lush garden; total relaxation next to the pool or the leisurely evening stroll into Lixouri’'s square for an aperitif followed by a meal in one of the traditional Greek tavernas lining the harbour edge.

We first stayed at the Summery Hotel in June 1995 and each year we find we are compulsively drawn back, because at the Summery Hotel we have always been made to feel welcome, treated as friends and looked after impeccably, you feel at home. The management and staff put 101% effort in to ensuring a perfect holiday for all the guests.

The Hotel could not be in a more perfect position for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and yet near to the beach; shops, restaurants and bars in Lixouri. The ongoing commitment by the management to improve the hotel facilities is to be congratulated; swimming pool; gardens; veranda; dining room; reception; children’s play area; and guest rooms have been continuously improved over the years and are to the highest standards. All the rooms are fully equipped at no extra cost. The staff are amazing, be it serving breakfast; all day snacks; bar service or cleanliness of your room, they are always there to help and it’'s always with a smile.

In fact the Summery Hotel facilities and service are first class, for a truly Greek holiday on a beautiful island, amongst friendly people, I would more than recommend the Summery Hotel Lixouri Cephallonia. Once visited you will be drawn back again and again and again …………………….………..

I have had yet another fantastic holiday at the Hotel Summery. Since my first visit 20 years ago it is still my favourite place and the perfect holiday. 4 years ago i asked my friend Hilary to join me and she thinks it is just as wonderful as i do. Quiet, relaxing, friendly with beautiful surroundings and close to all you could possibly need. Another perfect holiday and looking forward to our return in June next year.Thanks to Titika, Yanna and everyone at the Summery Hotel.

This hotel is the friendliest family run hotel we have ever stayed at. It is clean, staff very friendly,the hotel is in a great position, 5 mins walk to the square with bars and tavernas, nice pool and on the sea front.We have visited this hotel over 20 times upto 2006 and had a gap of 3 years because we moved to Cyprus and thought we would not need our holiday in Kefelonia but we did and went back, it had not changed we had a great time and we are now in the process of booking for May 2010. The daughters Titika and Yanna who run the hotel are very pretty(my husband says)and very friendly,(I think Billy is the prettiest!) they will all make sure you have a great holiday. Highly recommended.

The Summery is a hidden gem. Great location, great service, and a wonderful laid back atmosphere. Walk a few minutes north into the excellent bars and restaurants in Lixouri, a little longer south to the fabulous beach at Lepada.
Jump aboard the superb regular ferry to Argostoli, or tour the peninsula for more great beaches.
Why settle for less when you can have it all?
