We stayed her for the 1st time in augusat 2011 and have already booked to come back janet and jerry are just the best absolutely nothing is too much trouble , the hotel is immaculately clean and 5 minutes walk from everywhere . We stayed in September 2011 in the middle of a heatwave. Great weather, great people and beautiful island. Got to be one of our favourite holidays for years.
The hotel is situated in a quiet back street with views over open fields and onto the mountains. Pool area, gardens and bar is well laid out, immaculately clean and well tended. The people owning/working in the place are the big positive though. Warm friendly welcome that continued all week. Wether just passing the time of day, information about things to see or do, time was no object and always with a smile.
You can always tell the quality of a place by returning travellers and there was many, some coming back for decades.
We have even just received a Christmas card from them.
I would recommend to anyone.

We stayed in the La Cite in July 2010 - what an amazing place! They may not have many stars - but what they lack in the * rating they more than make up in cleanliness and customer service. We have just rebooked for 2012... and to be honest, I envisage us returning year on year. Superb!

lovely hotel spotlessly clean, lovely and friendly staff who made you feel like one of the family. Although the breakfeast could be improved.

I visited La Cite for the second time, and I went at the the end of September. Apart from the huge amount of rain, I cant tell you how much I love coming here. It is perfect for a relaxing break, and getaway. The girls are lovely, Janet, Gerry, Eva and everyone whose name I have missed. They make me feel welcome and part of the family and make it hard for me to go home! I cant praise the hotel and staff enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. I love and miss you all lots and hope to return again next year (as so many people do!!)
