The trip: Plane to Argostoli (Kefalonia Island), Taxi to Sami, ferry to Piso Aetos - efficient - easiest yet
Reasons for going to Ithaca: I have beeing going to Ithaca for 27 years. I felt in love with Ithaca a long time ago. I went to Ithaca Greece during summer when I was a student. One month to 6 weeks.
Idea before arriving: I knew it was beautiful and we (my husband and 5 years old) couldn't wait to go back. We did wondered how it had changed.
Expectations and opinions: Yes, absolutely! There were some more facilities but we didn't need them. Kioni is too busy. It is a beautiful, hospitable and friendly island. My favorite beach is Peravoli.
Favorite thing about Ithaca: The beauty, the peace, the food, the weather, the people and the small villages
Negative opinion: It is hard to find.
Recommendations: Come but don't tell anyone about it!!!
We will come back here. We have a special relation with the island and the island always call us back!
