As per the writings of Homer there were "three mountains" – Mt. Neritos, Mt. Marmakas and Mt. Exoghis, with Pilicata placed in the middle. He also describes a sight of "three seas" from the place Pilicata.The entire region north of Ithaca, where Pilicata village is located, is a fabulous tourist destination due to the fact that wherever one goes, the sea will never be out of his reach.
