Ithaca Villages: Pilicata village in Ithaca
Pilicata Village Ithaca: The Pilicata village is within the settlement of Stavros. The village of Pilicata is located at an area which is at a higher level of altitude than Stavros. One can enjoy spectacular locales in this region.

From the nearby Pilicata hill, while moving in the direction of the Platrithias village, one can have a magnificent view of three water bodies - the stretch of water channel to the west, the Frikes bay to the east and the Bay of Aphales to the north. This place best qualifies for the mythical site of the castle of Odysseus – the hero the Homer’s epic poem Odyssey.

As per the writings of Homer there were "three mountains" – Mt. Neritos, Mt. Marmakas and Mt. Exoghis, with Pilicata placed in the middle. He also describes a sight of "three seas" from the place Pilicata. The entire region north of Ithaca, where Pilicata village is located, is a fabulous tourist destination due to the fact that wherever one goes, the sea will never be out of his reach. One can enjoy the sun and sand alike, swim the placid waters of the beaches or go for an excursion in and around the village on a bicycle or a motorbike.
