Ithaca: Exogi Ithaca

Exogi Village Ithaca: Exogi (Out Land) is one of the oldest villages of Ithaca and lies at 20 kilometres north of Vathy, on the slopes of the Homeric Mountain of Neion, at an altitude of 340 metres, surrounded by a verdant landscape.

The picturesque village has been built amphitheatrically on a spot with a wonderful view over the bay and the sea. Exogi used to be one of the main villages of the island during the middle Ages and the beginning of the Venetian period, since it was well protected from the pirates.
