The Archaeological Museum of Vathy is located in the capital of Ithaca, on Kallinikou Street, a short block back from the quay.
The museum exhibits a collection of findings dating from the Geometric to the Roman period, brought to light by excavations made in the area of Piso Aetos, and various finds from the Geometric period coming from many parts of the island, especially from Loizos Cave in Polis Bay.

rich library which has many rare books on display, among which the only existing edition of the Odyssey and the Iliad in Japanese and the complete works of Agios Athanasios dating from 1686.
