Ithaca was our two-day trip from Kefalonia. The boat left Fiscardo and arrived in Kioni Ithaca and from there we took a taxi to Vathy. We chose a hotel in the capital to be close to all activities. Although the landscape of Ithaca was not much different from Kefalonia, it had a more quiet atmosphere. Except for Vathy which would get a little busy, all the other villages were alive only in the day for their beaches. At night, people would come to Vathy for a drink, a calm night out. Frikes was my favourite beach, but still we didn't go to many beaches. For a nice cafeteria, I suggest you a venue above Stavros, on a hill with gorgeous view. Prices in Ithaca are not that high compared to other expensive Ionian islands, like Zante or Corfu. They are almost as low as in Kefalonia.
