Boring without friends

Ithaca Review:
It was my wife's wish to spend our summer holidays in Ithaca. It was actually a green island but too quiet, there was no particular nightlife. We went by boat from Patras and I have to say that the vessel was old and the port of Ithaca needed reconstruction. The beaches were nice and clean but quite rocky. Loutsa beach was the only sandy one and suitable for the kids. Ithaca is a lovely island but can end up boring if you go just with your family. You should take some friends with you to have company. Taverns are also expensive and I didn't like the food very much. I am Greek myself and I know to appreciate good dishes.
