Gidaki Beach Ithaca: Gidaki beach is accessible from Vathy, the port capital, via a boat service. There is no road link to Gidaki from Vathy. There is an adventurous hiking trail although most tourists favor the boat cruise from Vathy.
There are two boats plying to and from Vathy port to Gidaki beach. The departure times from Vathy are at 10:00 Hrs and 11:00 Hrs and the pick up timings from Gidaki beach are at 14:00 Hrs. and 15:00 Hrs. respectively. The cruise schedule is so framed so that one can spend a comfortable morning at Gidaki beach and return to Vathy in the evening. The journey from Vathy to Gidaki beach takes around 20 minutes. |
