A gorgeous beach with soft sand and crystal water. It has a fun atmosphere and some beach bars with refreshing cocktails. Bad thing: it gets very crowded in high season. The bay next to Glyfada is Myrtiotissa beach, a partly nudist spot. The road to Glyfada is very narrow but through lush... More >
Very long beach and very crowded in high season. This is one of the most tourist spots in Corfu, with many hotels, shops, restaurants and beach bars. Edem Bar is great: it is located at the beach of Dassia, nice music, relaxing atmosphere and a perfect spot for night swimming. In the daytime, it... More >
Glyfada beach guarantees amazing family holidays. I took my wife, son and daughter to a lovely Greek beach vacation this summer. We had been planning about it for over a year and I wanted to make sure that no mistake was made. We chose to stay in self catering apartment for a week near Glyfada... More >
We are an elderly couple and we were looking for a laidback vacation, so Kalami suited us greatly. A pretty village that provided us with exactly what we wanted. We didn't want a village that is filled with tourist activities. Kalami has pretty much no roads and there were practically no cars. It... More >
Paleokastritsa of Corfu is absolutely gorgeous. We spent 4 glorious days there swimming in breathtakingly crystal clear waters and visiting secluded and beautiful beaches. Our hotel, the Akrotiri Beach Hotel, provided good accommodation and our room overlooked a beautiful bay. Only one bad thing,... More >

I have just come back from a week holiday in Ypsos Corfu, which I really enjoyed. It was a bit quite for mid June but then with the general state of the Euro and Economy that was to be expected. The village was really nice with a good beach and very clean and tidy. I stayed at the Yiannis... More >
Funny sports to do

Although best beaches on Corfu are found on the northern part, Agios Gordis is one of the few beaches in the centre of the island worth to visit. The water is crystal and warm (opposed to Paleokastritsa beach where water is freezing) and you can do many sports there. I enjoyed Banana a lot! The... More >
I have visited Corfu many times so I know the area inside out. We usually stay in the northern side, where the best beaches are to be found. Most people I know have been to Sidari village but this is not my cup of tea, it's full of clubs and teenagers strolling around drunken. I prefer San Stefano.... More >
Paleokastritsa is the most popular tourist spot on Corfu, probably thanks to its delightful landscape and the clean beach. The beach may get cold some days but it is a great place to lay down on the pebbles and enjoy a day in the sun. Apart from swimming, Paleokastritsa is also famous for its... More >
Too noisy

Very crowded, especially in July and August. We go frequently to Corfu, almost every summer and have visited almost al beaches on the island. Agios Gordis has nice water and sandy coast but it is too noisy. There are a lot of hotels around, so you will find tourists from early in the morning till... More >
