The Golden Barrel is a traditional Greek tavern located in an idyllic setting in Barbati, a relaxing beach in the foot of Mount Pantokrator. The tavern offers panoramic views of the beautiful beach and serves a wide choice of traditional Corfiot specialties. Angelos, the owner of the Golden Barrel, is the key chef with long years of experience at cooking Greek specialties. Lunch offerings include pastitsada and sofrito, two traditional dishes of Corfu.
Besides the regular dishes, there is an endless variety of seafood dishes prepared from fresh catch, as well as meat dishes. The dessert list includes tasty fare prepared from koum kouat, a citrus fruit cultivated only in Corfu, and mandolata, a famous traditional sweet prepared from honey and roasted almonds. You can also opt for local wine and retsina made from the best grapes that are grown in Corfu. Evenings at the tavern are full of lively entertainment with plenty of syrtaki and zeibekiko.
