Corfu Villages: Pelekas village in Corfu Pelekas Corfu: The picturesque and authentic village of Pelekas is situated 13 kilometres of Corfu Town, proudly standing on a hill of 270 metres high. The small village is quite busy with it used as an access point for some of the great beaches nearby. Pelekas beach itself is medium sized with plenty of restaurants and views and a nice view out to sea. It is not developed but has quite a few loungers and sunbeds. Above the beach sits the village where there is a large selection of restaurants. At the centre you will

find a pleasant enough peach church. But what this place is really good for is the views which can be observed by following the sign to ‘Kaiser’s Throne’. At the top you will find some modern ramparts and a carpark. There’s a café up here from where you can look out over the island, a view which is particularly popular for the sunsets. It is indeed impressive and you can pick out Corfu Town over to the left as well as taking in the rest of the island’s geography. Pelekas offers a wonderful panoramic view over the surrounding area and over the sea. Nearby the village are the three beautiful sandy beaches of Glyfada, Pelekas and Myrtiotissa.
