Agios Matheos Corfu: This mountainous village is located 25 kilometres south-west of Corfu Agios Matheos and has a population of about 1500 inhabitants, mostly leaving from agriculture.

It is built inside a dense forest on the side of Mount Agios Matheos and is full of many charming stone houses.

The popular beach of Agios Matheos is located a few

kilometres from the lovely village and attracts many visitors each year.

The deserted beach of Halikounas is also located nearby the village.The area is interesting for the various excursions it offers such as the visit to the 13th century Gardiki castle or the Monastery Christou Pandokratora.
