What I love mostly about Corfu is the delicious cuisine. Of course, all meals in Greece are good but in Corfu, I think it is the best, especially the traditional dishes.
I went to Corfu last year. I had stayed at a resort in Paleokastritsa, but toured the various villages on Corfu. Each village is unique in its architecture. I really enjoyed Paleokastritsa, Benitses and Lefkimi. I avoided the ancient historical sites and museums, since I am not really interested in history. So I visited a lot of beaches on this island.
The easiest way to travel around Corfu is to hire a car. I asked my hotel to make all the necessary arrangements. The best beaches were Agios Georgios, Kalami, Barbati Paleokastritsa, Benitses and Dassia. I also tried some scuba diving in Paleokastritsa, but I can tell you, it was difficult, guys! I came across many good gift shops in Corfu town that sells fine pottery and ceramic items. If you walk in the Old Town, you will find plenty of such shops. Though my bargaining skills were not so good. still I managed to obtain these items at a much lower cost.
