Family holidays in Corfu

Corfu Review:
I went to Corfu with a direct charter flight from Great Britain. I had previously searched the web and found an area we hadn't been before which looked unspoiled, yet still lively enough for children. A lovely setting which looked relatively unspoilt by Corfu standards and a little bit more classy than some of the places we had previously stayed in, which turned out to be as detailed on their web site. The people we know are very friendly and helpful as we have been to Corfu before and again were the same on arrival. The food was for the most part very good but at the Casa Delfino the food was in par with top restaurants in England and beautifully presented if not a little bit slower than we normally expect but well worth the wait. The weather was as always glorious with storms on only one occasion and luckily for us through the night. The nightlife we did expect to be a little more lively and was a bit too quiet for our two children aged 9 and 11 so not a great deal to do or the older children at night. I have to note that the people were helpful especially when my partner needed medical treatment. Village was a little quote with not much variety of restaurants. There where clean and safe beaches a few steps from the hotel, and the hotel’s restaurant and pool bar were excellent. We had a really nice time at the Aqualand. However, I feel that there could be done with a little bit more entertainment during the day and evening for children. I’ll definitely come again. Something I advise future visitors: Take plenty to read as books and magazines are expensive in this area. Make sure you take lots of things to entertain children as entertainment is limited both at night and during the day. Good restaurants are a bit thin on the ground but generally are all reasonable.
