Expensive but gorgeous island

A good friend of mine proposed that I visit Corfu and I wasn't disappointed. We went by car to Igoumenitsa and from there took the ferry to Corfu. The island was lovely, beautiful landscapes, gorgeous beaches and the people we met were open-hearted. I especially liked Sidari village and Arillas beach. What I didn't enjoy was that almost everything in Corfu markets was expensive. 1 loaf of bread costs 1.30 euros and the mineral water of 1 1/2 lt costs 1.35! That is crazy! If you wanted to rent a sea bike, you would pay from 9 to 15 euros for 45min. It was cheaper to eat or drink at a restaurant rather than buy something to cook yourself. However this will not prevent me from visiting Corfu again as nature there is amazing.
