Corfu Othoni Island

Othoni Island near Corfu: Known for being the westernmost land area in Greece, Othoni (or Othonoi) is a small, sparsely-populated island that belongs in the Diapontian group, the largest one amongst the inhabited Ereikoussa and Mathraki islands! Filled with lush vegetation, the island can only be reached by small ferries departing from Corfu Island.

The island’s port, Ammos, is its lively focal point, housing a few hotel rooms and apartments alongside a handful of restaurants, rent-a-car facilities, and various monuments! Furthermore, other important settlements with some accommodation facilities or sights include Dafni, Damaskatika, and the island’s capital of Chorio!

Othoni showcases plenty of seashores and sea caves, most of which can be reached only with a small-sized boat! Born from the ancient myth of Odysseus and Calypso, guests will have the chance to visit the Cave of Calypso, spotted right next to Aspri Ammos Beach on the northwestern side of the island! In addition, the northern side of Othoni (and mostly the area of Mastoratika) boasts some incredible shores with crystal-clear turquoise waters, such as the stunning Kontoskies Cove, the Kapsolinari Beach, and the Fyki Beach!
