Avlaki is not particularly known among tourists, although it is a very nice, pebbly beach with crystal clear water. In fact, it has been awarded the Blue Flag, a certificate given by the European Union to recognize the clean beaches in Europe. Avlaki is a simple beach that offers the freshness of the air and the liveliness of the woods on the hillside areas surrounding the beach. It is the ideal tourist destination for families. The beach has sun beds and a few taverns with delicious Corfiot food. In the afternoon, a northern sea breeze enters the beach swiping the heat away from it. As the beach is covered with fine shingles, it is provided with board walking facility.

The beach promises a lot of scope for water sports, such as sailing and canoeing. Boats are available at Avlaki for hire. Small cruises will take you to the nearby bays. There are sailing schools intended for the youngsters. Horse riding is another interesting activity practiced there. If you walk up the hill, you can enjoy the cool breath and the aroma of the woods spreading in the atmosphere. A few supermarkets, shops and bars are located just a few steps away from the beach towards the hill. Trekking along the beach and the olive groves, you can reach Kassiopi on the one side or Agios Stephanos on the other. Avlaki Beach is equipped with all the basic amenities for tourists. The beach is provided with showers, toilets and changing rooms. Parking facilities are provided on the opposite side or at the end of the beach. However, those who are looking for crazy nightlife will be disappointed at Avlaki.
