Corfu: Avlaki Corfu

Avlaki Corfu: Avlaki Beach is located about 37 kilometres to the north of Corfu Town, between the villages of Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi. Avlaki is not particularly known among tourists, although it is a very nice, pebbly beach with crystal clear water. In fact, it has been awarded the Blue Flag, a certificate given by the European Union to recognize the clean beaches in Europe.

Avlaki is a simple beach, an ideal tourist destination for families. The beach has sun beds and few taverns with delicious local food. In the afternoon, a northern sea breeze enters the beach swipping the heat away from it. The beach promises a lot of scope for water sports, such as sailing and canoeing. Boats are also available for hire. Small cruise boats will take you to the nearby bays.
