It is 30 km to the south of Polygyros, the capital of the prefecture and 60 km far from Thessaloniki. The coastline consists of a wide strip of sand; the beach is well-organized, with many sun-beds and umbrellas. Its blue waters are great for swimming.

It counts on close hotels, apartments and room rentals, as well as cafes and beach bars. Nea Potidea beach also has many nice taverns with delicious fresh fish meals.
