Killini

Ferries to Zakynthos and Kefalonia leave from the small port of Killini, in western Peloponnese. You can go there by bus from Athens. There are public buses to Zakynthos and Kefalonia that leave from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens, get to the port of Killini and embark into the ferry to go to the islands. In the tourist period, there are buses about three to four times a day. The bus takes about 4 hours to Killini.

Agios Konstantinos

Ferries from Agios Konstantinos go to the Sporades islands (Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos). To get to Agios Konstantinos from Athens, go to Liossion KTEL Station (close to Attiki Metro Station) and take the bus to Lamia, which makes a stop to Agios Konstantinos on the way. The distance from Athens to Agios Konstantinos is about 2 and a half hours. There are buses almost every hour.

Volos

Ferries from Volos go to the Sporades islands (Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos). To go to Volos from Athens, take the bus from Liossion KTEL Station (close to Attiki Metro Station). The bus takes about 5 hours to reach Volos. There are frequent itineraries from Athens, every 1 to 2 hours.

Patras

Ferries from Patra go to Kefalonia, Ithaca, Corfu, and Italy. To go from Athens to Patras, take the suburban bus from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport). The trip lasts about 3 hours and there are itineraries every hour.

Thessaloniki

Ferries from Thessaloniki usually go to the Eastern Aegean islands. To go from Athens to Thessaloniki, you can either take the bus or the train.
- The train leaves from Larissis Station (metro station) and takes from 4 to 6 hours to get to Thessaloniki, depending on whether it is Intercity (quick train, few stops) or normal route. There are trains from Athens to Thessaloniki about 3 times a day.
- The bus to Thessaloniki leaves from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) every one to two hours and the trip lasts about 6 hours.

Neapolis

Ferries from Neapolis go to Elafonissos and Kythira. To go to Neapolis Laconia, you get the suburban bus from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens. There are routes about 3-4 times a day and the trip lasts about 6 hours. Some routes are not direct but via Sparti or Molai.

Igoumenitsa

Ferries from Igoumenitsa go to Corfu and Italy. There are suburban buses that leave from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens and arrive in Igoumenitsa in about 7 hours. There are itineraries about 3 times a day.
* If you want to go by bus to Corfu, you can take the suburban bus that leaves directly from Kifissos Athens to Corfu Town (bus embarks into a ferry in Igoumenitsa). This is easier than getting off the bus in Igoumenitsa, walking to the port and then taking the ferry to Corfu.

Kavala

Ferries from Kavala go to Thassos and Eastern Aegean islands. Suburban buses to Kavala leave from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens every 2-3 times a day. The trip to Kavala lasts about 8 hours.

Kimi

Ferries from Kimi go to Skyros and Alonissos. Suburban buses leave from Liossion KTEL Station (close to Attiki Metro Station) in Athens and get to Kimi in about 3 hours. There are buses about 6-7 times a day.

Alexandroupolis

Ferries to Alexandroupolis go to the island of Samothraki. There are buses from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens to Alexandroupolis, via Thessaloniki. There are buses about 5 times a day and the trip takes about 10 hours.

Gythio

Ferries from Gythio go to Kythira and Kissamos Crete. There are buses that leave from Kifissos KTEL Station (bus X93 from the airport) in Athens and arrive in Gythio in about 5 hours. Some routes are direct, while others are via Sparti. Buses run about 3-4 times a day.
