The Greek railway system of Greece is the OSE (www.ose.gr)
It is the cheapest way but was also for many years the slowest. many efforts have been made in order to improves both the vehicules and the network.
The huge problem is that most of the system is single track. That means that trains have to stop in order to allow oncoming trains.
Greece 's railway network is approximately 2,500 km long, covering a large part of the mainland and linking the country with central Europe and Turkey.
