Good day Eleni, just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how my holiday went. I had a wonderful time, especially in Santorini/Thira which was a highlight before I went and is more so now that I have been there!
Being transferred from airport to hotel and back again was very convenient. It took away all those niggling details of finding a bus/taxi. The drivers were courteous and gracious for the most part (I just couldn't get used to the smoking in the car). Those who spoke English told me useful information about the place/island.
The three hotels that were Best Western were very good, but my favourite was Hotel Nicholas in Santorini/Thira. The staff were lovely and welcoming as was Marike from the tour company in Santorini.
Each hotel was in a great location. I could walk out the door and wander around to my heart's content and only got lost in Athens--to be expected in a big city. Mind you, the hotels on Kriti had wonderful coffee.
