Unforgettable experiences ever

This year we decided to visit Greece and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences ever! First we visited Athens and we were pleasantly surprised by how polite and helping people were, especially taxi drivers. Also, the transfers were very organized and punctual and we were really glad as it would have been otherwise a very stressful experience. Regarding the accommodations, Jason Inn in Athens had an amazing rooftop view and location, while we fell in love with the pool in Astir in Santorini, which was also conveniently close to the local bus service. As for Xenia is Naxos, it was ideally located and everything was at a walking distance, from the beach to the restaurant. Can’t really choose between Santorini and Naxos, as they were both excellent choices and we were very lucky to have visited the Greek islands in October – much more quiet and the sea is still warm. Santorini has a breathtaking beauty and is ideal to explore using the local buses, while Naxos has a wild appeal, and we loved the amazing beaches and mountain walks. The hospitality of locals was heart-warming and the service provided by Greeka.com left us completely satisfied and pleased with our choice. Next time we visit Greece we’ll make sure that we know the program of certain routes in advance, but we really can’t wait to come back one day.

We did our “own thing” with help and went to Athens, Santorini and Naxos. It was such a relief to see a sign with our name on when we came off the plane/ferry and to find instructions for our onward journey waiting for us! Everyone was really helpful, especially our taxi/transfer drivers but also the hotel staff. More specifically, we loved the Jason Inn in Athens –I don’t think it was our first choice BUT we would definitely use it again. It was so close to the Acropolis and the stops for the 'round the city bus'. The pool at the Astira on Santorini was wonderful for cooling off after sightseeing. Xenia on Naxos was perfect for us. Right by the harbour, it even had a view of the sea and boats. It was very clean and welcoming.

This time we only went to Santorini and Naxos, so it is difficult to choose which was our favourite island, as they are so very different. We loved Naxos for being more 'real' and for the wonderful rides on the local buses through mountains to Apponisas – it was just magical! We were also amazed by Santorini, the caldera and the Akrotiri site. We have always wanted to visit those places and were not disappointed at all. We generally preferred Fira to Oia. We’re glad we went in October; for we are dread to think what it must be like in high season! We are greedy so we would probably go to other islands next time. We will definitely recommend that people use Greeka.com!

Mykonos was charming as well as friendly and Santorini was beautiful, but very busy. We also visited Naxos which was our favourite and we will return. It seemed very well managed as a town and coped well with tourism. As for your services… they really did surpass our expectations!

We customized our package with the help of Greeka. It was very easy to get in touch with Greeka via email and by phone. They were very helpful and never missed a beat. They made the arrangements to pick us up at the airport, our hotel and provided all transfers.

Everything went as scheduled and the transfers were always on time. The drivers were very pleasant; every person who picked us up, was courteous, friendly and extremely professional. From the moment that I started planning this trip, Greeka and its staff were fabulous. Every hotel was lovely, but I believe the rooms at the “Tatiana” need some updating, especially the bathrooms. The hotel lobby and top floor restaurant are nice and the front desk staff was helpful, but seemed disorganized at times.

We went to Athens, Skopelos and Santorini. We loved both Islands. Skopelos was a dream come true. We loved it because of its people, beauty, peacefulness and magnificent beaches. We are considering about possibly buying a flat there. Santorini was beautiful as well, but far more chaotic. Skopelos was less crowded and far greener.

My wife is going back to Greece this week on a cruise and has already reached out to Greeka for its services. Greeka provided excellent services and we recommend that anyone travelling to Greece consider using Greeka. I will use Greeka.com again and again, if I travel to Greece. This company made our trip perfect, because it took away the worries of booking hotels, transfers, ferries, etc. I have already recommended Greeka.com to my friends and family. Everything was to our satisfaction.

I was on holidays on Mykonos and Santorini. Santorini has lots to see and do and in addition, it is easy to find your way around. I prefer Santorini, although both islands are beautiful. Now, I would like to see some of the smaller islands. During my holidays, we had absolutely no problems. All went very smoothly and everyone was overwhelmingly polite, friendly and helpful. They were all only happy to help and always contacted us promptly. Our hotels were amazing and the staff was great. So, I would use your services again!

Holidays to Athens, Paros and Santorini

During our holidays, we visited Athens, Paros and Santorini (5 nights). Paros and Santorini are very different to each other but we liked both of them. Paros, though, was our favourite because it is less touristy. Santorini is beautiful but influx of day tourists from cruise ships makes it very busy, particularly in Fira and Oia. Our hotel in Santorini was larger than we normally stay in -geared more to package holidays- but it was comfortable and well located for 2 nights. Possibly a wider choice of smaller, boutique hotels in Santorini would have been a good idea.

We had a fantastic time and all the arrangements made by Albert on our behalf - airport and ferry transfers, ferry tickets and hotel arrangements - worked perfectly. In fact, the whole trip couldn’t have gone more smoothly. A very efficient service, that I am happy to recommend.
All best,
Alison

Wonderful islands, excellent drivers, but rooms with no nice views

We went to the islands of Santorini and Mykonos. They were both wonderful! We had a great time on both. On Mykonos we basically just relaxed, on Santorini we relaxed, but also did the “Santorini in a day” tour. I probably liked Mykonos best. It was a bit quieter and not so crowded. We found a wonderful taverna at the end of the beach where our hotel was located. The food was wonderful. I also loved the little streets in the town that wove in all directions. At each corner or new street, there were exciting new shops and places to explore. Concerning the organization, we had excellent interactions with the people who organized this trip. All the drivers were excellent. We did have trouble finding our person, initially at Mykonos and when we arrived at Athens, the driver arrived a couple of minutes late but it all worked out and every driver was extremely helpful. Apart from the above-mentioned driver who arrived only a little late, every other transfer was on time. The hotels were lovely, really nice. However, at both of them, we were stuck in rooms round the back of the hotel. In the first one, this meant being right next to the road with noisy traffic and people all night. We had no sea or pool views like most rooms. We figured the tour company must have asked for the cheapest room. In the second one, where most rooms had views of the beautiful pool, we had views of a dirt field! At the second one, we asked if we could upgrade because we thought pool-view rooms must cost more. We were told that all rooms had the same price but that our tour company had not requested a nice room. Since we have travelled all the way from the other side of the world for this wonderful trip, we didn't want to be stuck round the back; we wanted a nice room. Fortunately, the second hotel did allow us to change rooms to one that did have a glimpse of the pool. I did think this was poor. We went through an agent to be looked after, not to stuck in the worst room in the hotel, in both places. When your customers are coming from the other side of the world and have spent a lot to get there, they don't want to be stuck looking at a dirt field or a road. We would have paid extra for a nice room. To find that we had a bad room simply because your tour company had not bothered to request a nice room for us was disappointing.

Overall, though, I guess that we are satisfied with Greeka.com, the only disadvantage was that we were being put at the back of the hotels with no nice views.

Each island had its own unique character and was highly enjoyable. Some islands were a lot more expensive than others. Mykonos was beautiful but expensive and very windy. Santorini was magical. Paros was lovely and very reasonably priced but, unfortunately, I was ill which put a damper on things and our hotel room was the worst on this island (very small, noisy air-conditioning, and the gentleman at reception was rude - “Hotel Nikolas”). Naxos was lovely and a wonderful, friendly family run the hotel - “Hotel Kymata”, but by our last island we were tired and ready to come home. The service by Greeka.com was great, the transfers were well-organized and the convenience of everything being prearranged was fantastic! Many thanks!!
