• The carrier is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passenger's luggage that is under his/her personal care during the trip.
• Jewelry, money and valuables may be delivered to the ship’s accounting office for safekeeping.
• The carriage of explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous material in general is forbidden.
• If the passenger, the driver or the shipper misses the departure, they are not entitled to any refund.
• The ticket or the vehicle receipt is not refundable or replaceable in case of loss.
• The carrier is not liable for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping scheduled route, due to bad weather conditions or orders from the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Port Authorities or due to force majeure.
• The carrier and the ship are not liable for accident, loss or damage occurring prior to boarding or loading and after disembarkation or unloading.
Ferries Cancellation policies
Here you will find information about the special ticket cancellation policy of the Greek companies Blue Star Ferries, Superfast Ferries and Minoan Lines. Please also ask your agency for this information as these policies can have changed.
BLUE STAR FERRIES
If the cancellation is made during HIGH SEASON (06/04/12-22/04/12, 01/06/12-05/06/12 & 15/06/12-09/09/12), the following applies:
- 7 days prior to departure: Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 7 days and up to 4 hours prior to departure: A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- 4 hours prior and up to the departure: 50% cancellation fees must be paid.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
For the period from 06/04/12-15/04/12 & 01/06/12-02/06/12 for all departures from Piraeus or Rafina and for the period from 15/04/12-22/04/12 & 04/06/12-05/06/12 for all departures to Piraeus or Rafina, tickets are cancelled without charge or converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, 14 days prior to departure.
During LOW SEASON (all other dates except those mentioned in HIGH SEASON):
- 3 days prior to departure: Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 3 days and up to 1 hour prior to departure: A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- 1 hour prior and up to the departure: 50% cancellation fees must be paid.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
OPEN DATE TICKETS: Open date tickets are cancelled without charge when they have been originally issued as open date. If they have been converted to open date, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
* Tickets can only be invalidated by the issuing agency and they cannot be invalidated over the phone. Passengers who wish to cancel their tickets must hand them over to the issuing agency.

HELLENIC SEAWAYS
- Up to 14 days before departure date: 100% refund on tickets value.
- Up to 7 days before departure date: 75% refund on tickets value.
- Up to 12 hours before departure date: 50% refund on tickets value.
- Cancellations made in less than 12 hours before departure are not entitled to a refund.

There is a choice of changing the tickets into Open Dated tickets in order for them to be used for another trip.
HIGH SEASON: from 18/04/2011 until 01/05/2011 and from 09/06/2011 until 04/09/2011

- up to 2 hours before departure, valid for the itineraries within the Saronic and Sporades islands (the Highspeed vessels serving the itinerary Piraeus-Aegina-Agkistri-Piraeus and the Conventional vessels serving the Saronic are excluded as tickets can be changed to Open-Date tickets up to the time of departure).
LOW SEASON: Periods not mentioned above
- up to 2 hours before departure, valid for the HIGHSPEED VESSELS HS4-HS5-HS6-FC3-FC4 (every Friday-Saturday-Sunday)

- Domestic Lines
From the date of the ticket issue and up to 14 days before the scheduled departure, the fare of the ticket is fully refundable.
From 13 days up to 7 days before the scheduled departure: 75 % refund.
From 6 days up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure: 50% refund.

From the date of the ticket issue and up to 30 days before the scheduled departure, the fare of the ticket is fully refundable.

In case the ticket is cancelled more than 14 days prior to departure date, then it is 100% refunded. If the ticket is cancelled more than 7 days prior to departure date, then it is 75% refunded. Otherwise it can be cancelled with 50% refund until 12 hours prior to departure time or turned to open.

Tickets may be cancelled or changed at the competent port offices and head ticket offices of ANEK LINES.
For cancellations, the following percentage of the fare is refunded (depending on the time of the cancellation prior to the departure):

Up to 7 days before : 80% of the fare
Up to 24 hours before : 50% of the fare
24 hours before departure or in the event that the passenger does not show up on boarding, ANEK LINES is under no obligation to issue a refund. Refunds are issued only by the issuing ticket office upon the company's approval.

In case a cancellation is made within 24 hours from the time the tickets are issued the total value is refunded.

ERTURK LINES
Cancellations can be made at the Port Agencies, or Erturk Travel offices that reservation and payment have taken place. The following amounts are refunded:
- 100% refund, up to 21 days prior to departure.
- 50% refund, from 20 days to 24 hours prior to departure.
Erturk Travel & Shipping Co. have no obligation to refund 24 hours prior to ship's departure or if the passenger does not show at the embarkation.
If a round trip is partially cancelled and only one crosing has been completed, the passenger will be charged a one way fare and will be refunded as above for the balance of the round trip fare.
If the round trip is entirely cancelled, the passenger will be refunded as above (based on the time of cancellation).
A refund must take place up till and including three months after the date of travel. Request for a refund must be made in writing. Cancellations and refunds can only be settled through the Erturk Travel & Shipping Co. hat reservation and payment have taken place. Port Agencies may cancel a reservation once check-in is finalised but not refund money. Erturk Travel & Shipping Co. are entitled to retain the total value of ticket if the passenger interrupts his voyage at an intermediate port, unless the interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure.

If the cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the departure date, then tickets are fully refunded or they can be turned into open tickets.
If cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the departure date, then tickets are 50% refunded.
If the passenger doesn't show up at embarkation, then tickets are not refunded at all.

STRINTZIS FERRIES
For the period 1/6/2011 till 12/09/11, the following terms apply:
For the period 9/6/2011- 15/6/2011 and 01/07/2011- 12/09/2011, the tickets are fully refunded if cancelled 7 days before departure.
For the rest of the year, the tickets are fully refunded if cancelled 2 days before departure.
Tickets will be 75% refunded if cancelled up 12 hours before departure. The same applies for cancellations of tickets that have been turned to "open-date tickets" or for which a boarding card has been issued.
Tickets will be 50% refunded if cancelled less than 12 hours before departure. The same applies for cancellations of tickets that have been turned to "open-date tickets" or for which a boarding card has been issued.
Tickets can be turned to "open tickets" till 24 hours before departure.
After departure, tickets cannot be cancelled or turned to open.

VENTOURIS FERRIES
- Tickets cancelled up to 30 days before departure are 100% refunded.
- Tickets cancelled up to 48 hours before departure are 80% refunded.
- Tickets cancelled up to 24 hours before departure are 50% refunded.
- Tickets that are cancelled less than 24 hours before departure are not refunded at all but can be turned to open tickets up to departure time.
- After departure time tickets can not be turned to open or cancelled.
- Open tickets can be used in a future trip and are valid till the end of the year.

AEGEON PELAGOS
- Until 30 days before departure given refund: 100% of the fare.
- Up to 7 days before departure given refund: 80% of the fare.
- Up 24 hours before departure given refund: 50% of the fare.
Over the past 24 hours before departure or if the passenger does not show up for boarding, AEGEON PELAGOS has no obligation to return the value of the ticket. Refunds are given only by the issuing agency after approval by the company.

Our Company's Terms and Conditions
- According to the policy of all ferry companies, in order to cancel ferry tickets, we must hold them at hand, as the tickets need to be returned to the ferry company in order to be refunded. Our company will not proceed to any cancellation or amendment without having the tickets. If tickets are sent back to our offices for cancellation, the amount given will be according to the cancellation policy of the ferry company on the day that we receive them.
- In case of cancellation, the service fee is not refundable.
- Cancellations and amendments can not be made over the phone. They need to be requested in written via email. We must be notified at least 5 working days prior to departure date otherwise we are not responsible if the cancellation/amendment is not possible due to lack of time.
- In case you wish to amend ferry tickets that have already been issued, there is a charge of 12,30 euros per reservation and we must be notified in written form (via e-mail) at least 5 working days prior to departure date. You can only amend tickets of a ferry company to another date tickets for the same ferry company and only if there is availability for the desired itinerary. We must hold at hand the original tickets in order to cancel or amend them.
- In case of a cancelled itinerary, our company is not responsible for any further refund apart from the ferry ticket rate. This rate will be refunded only once we receive the unused tickets. In case the tickets are prepaid and have not been printed, the passenger has to inform our company via email in order to cancel the tickets. This is not done automatically.
- In case a ticket is cancelled, either after the client's decision or because of a problem in the ticket, our company is not responsible if the exchange currency has changed and the client is refunded with less or more money. In case you wish to cancel ferry tickets that have already been issued, you will be refunded according to the ferry company’s cancellation policy.
- In case of loss or destruction of the envelope containing the ferry tickets by the courier company, the refund is approximately 70 euros and not the total ticket value. This is according to the worldwide terms and conditions of all courier companies and no further refund will be made by our company.
