• The carrier is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passenger's luggage that is under his/her personal care during the trip.
• Jewelry, money and valuables may be delivered to the ship’s accounting office for safekeeping.
• The carriage of explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous material in general is forbidden.
• If the passenger, the driver or the shipper misses the departure, they are not entitled to any refund.
• The ticket or the vehicle receipt is not refundable or replaceable in case of loss.
• The carrier is not liable for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping scheduled route, due to bad weather conditions or orders from the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Port Authorities or due to force majeure.
• The carrier and the ship are not liable for accident, loss or damage occurring prior to boarding or loading and after disembarkation or unloading.
 Ferries Cancelation policies
Here you will find information about the special ticket cancellation policy of the Greek companies Blue Star Ferries, Superfast Ferries and Minoan Lines. Please also ask your agency for this information as these policies can have changed.
BLUE STAR FERRIES
If the cancellation is made during HIGH SEASON (26/03/10-11/04/10 & 11/06/10-19/09/10), the following applies:
- 7 days prior to departure: Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or can be booked for another departure date.
- From 7 days and up to 4 hours prior to departure: A 50% cancellation fee is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or can be booked for another departure date.
- 4 hours prior and up to the departure: 50% cancellation fees must be paid.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or be converted to open date tickets or change the travel date.
For the period from 26/03/10-03/04/10 & 20/05/10-22/05/10 for all departures from Piraeus or Rafina and for the period from 04/04/10-11/04/10 & 24/05/10-25/05/10 for all departures to Piraeus or Rafina, tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or converted to open date tickets or can be booked for another departure date, 14 days before departure.
During LOW SEASON (all other dates except those mentioned in HIGH SEASON):
- 3 days prior to departure: Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 3 days and up to 1 hour prior to departure: A 50% cancellation fee is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or can be booked for another departure date.
- 1 hour prior and up to the departure: 50% cancellation fees are kept.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets, and the change of the travel date is also impossible.
OPEN DATE TICKETS are cancelled without cancellation fees when they have been originally issued as open date. If they have been converted to open date, a 50% cancellation fee is applied.
* Tickets can only be invalidated by the issuing agency and they cannot be invalidated over the phone. Passengers who wish to cancel their tickets must hand them over to the issuing agency.

HELLENIC SEAWAYS
- Tickets cancelled up to 14 days before departure are 100% refunded.
- Tickets cancelled up to 7 days before departure are 75% refunded.
- Tickets cancelled up to 12 hours before departure are 50% refunded.
- Tickets that are cancelled less than 12 hours before departure are not refunded at all.
- Cancelled tickets can be turned in open tickets, so that they will be used in a future trip. Open tickets are valid till the end of the year.
- Up to 24 hours before departure, tickets can be substituted with a ticket of equal or bigger value for the same or another trip. The above cancellation policy doesn’t apply for the new ticket and a difference is price with the first ticket is not refunded.

- Domestic Lines
From the date of the ticket issue and up to 14 days before the scheduled departure, the fare of the ticket is fully refundable.
From 13 days up to 7 days before the scheduled departure: 75 % refund.
From 6 days up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure: 50% refund.

From the date of the ticket issue and up to 30 days before the scheduled departure, the fare of the ticket is fully refundable.
From 29 days up to 7 days before the scheduled departure: 75% refund.
From 6 days up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure: 50 % refund.
On the day of the scheduled departure: the fare is not refunded.
Tickets can be refunded only by the issuing agency.

- A ticket cancelled up to three days before departure is 100% refundable.
- A ticket cancelled from 3 days up to 24 hours before departure is 50% refundable or it can be turned into an open ticket.
- A ticket cancelled less than 24 hours before departure cannot be turned into an open ticket, it can only be 50% refunded.

In case the ticket is cancelled more than 14 days prior to departure date, then it is 100% refunded. If the ticket is cancelled more than 7 days prior to departure date, then it is 75% refunded. Otherwise it can be cancelled with 50% refund until 12 hours prior to departure time or turned to open.
