Canoeing is one of the most popular water sports in Greece. The roots of this sports are found in the native tribes of North America and mostly from the Eskimos. Today, this sports has become particularly popular and it needs good physical exercise to succeed in it.
In Greece, there are many organized areas to practise canoeing. The most common canoe boats in Greece are the two-paddled canoes.
In Greece, conoeing can be practised in Thessaly (Kremaston Lake and Plastira Lake), Thrace (Lyras Lake) and the Ionian Sea. |
