It is the most important of all archaeological museums in Greece and exhibits one of the finest archaeological collections in the world.
The museum actually narrates the Greek history from the prehistoric till the modern times. There you will find various interesting items, from neolithic tools, classicsl statues and roman inscriptions to folklore costumes. It also organises temporary exhibitions.

Cycladic Art Museum |
This is a private collection of Cycladic art and it is considered as the most important one. It is composed by more than 350 objects of the central Aegean Area dated between 3200 and 2000 B.C. The Cycladic art is known for figurines which inspired many contemporary artists.
