Never been to Kos, but there are 3 of us that want to go in August this year we dont really know which part of the Island to go to , but we want to stay in a fairly quiet area of the island, but still be within 15 minutes of the nightlife. can anyone help? thanks in advance Back to top     Marg Greeka - Newbie Joined: 25 Apr 2006 Posts: 14 Location: Kent     Posted: Thu May 11, 2006 3:45 pm    Post subject: Hi Derhandy The main areas of Kos with nightlife are parts of Kos Town and Kardamena. The clubs and bars on Kos have to either close of move indoors at midnight as they are not alowed to make any noise after that time. For Kos Town the quieter areas are towards Lampi (or Lambi) where there are hotels and apartments or in the other direction to Psalidi which generally is a bit more upmarket. Also about 15 minutes by taxi from Kos Town is Tingaki which is where I stay and has some bars and restaurants but no clubs. For Kardamena (which itself is probably a bit 18-30) there is Kefalos wich lovely beaches, which would be about 15 minutes taxi ride and I guess it is probably reasonably quiet in some parts of Kardamena but I wouldn't know which parts. Mastichari (where the ferry leaves for Kalymnos) is also quiet with a few restaurants and about 20 minutes away. Hope this helps.
