Top Five Islands......

thought it might be interesting to hear your top five islands, which should give choices to people of similar taste..... so here goes
1. Skiathos (paradise)
2. Zante (dear little Alikes)
3. kefalonia (green !!)
4. Corfu (maybe not so good now)
5. Crete (it was hot !!)

Although I am planning Meganissi, and Skopelos for next year so this might change...

So far we have visited only five islands...!

1 - Symi (gorgeous harbour, absolutely stunning)
2 - Serifos (fantastic walking opportunities and quiet beaches)
3 - Kimolos (so friendly, such an interesting old town too)
4 - Rhodes (lots to see and do, but popular with cruise ships and we had some bad experiences with poor food and expensive lodging)
5 - Milos (many beautiful beaches, terrific food and adorable fishing villages, but not much to do)

You really are spoiled for choice. A 2 week holiday just isn't enough!

In no particular order...

Overall, I prefer the Ionion sea climate as it never really gets unbearably hot. Santorini landscape is hard to beat though.
