Dear friends of Greece!

I'll come to Athens by plane at the end of August. I want to go from the airport to Pyrgos the same day (I'll arrive in Athens around 15.20). Does the suburban railway go from Athens Airport to Korinthos and can I change there into a train to Patras and Pyrgos?

Thanks a lot for your answers!

Why you want to go by train? It is a bit tiring. You have to take the Suburban Railway from Athens to Kiato (1h30), after Corinth, and then another train to Pyrgos (with final destination Kyparissia). The whole train trip will take more than 6 hours including delays.

I think it is better to take the bus to Pyrgos. It leaves from Kifissos station in Athens and itineraries are regular, so it won't be a problem if you go in the afternoon, after you arrive by plane. The trip will take 5 hours but it will be direct and more comfortable.
