I wanted to give my experience with this company. In short, I recommend dealing with one of the other car hire companies at Gavrio port. I went with Euro Car as they were accessible on the web, however this is not a signal of business integrity.
Anna Vrettou of Euro Car Gavrio Andros, has unfortunately been the perpetrator of fraud by charging me 200€ for an "accident", which did not happen. When I disputed the claim with her, an older male in her family came on the scene and threatened me, which almost prompted me to contact the police in Gavrio. I suspect she often charges unsuspecting (non-Greek) travellers with accidents, as she knew exactly how much the alleged damage cost without consulting a body repair shop. I never authorised the charges, nor signed anything, but she used my signature anyhow to process the charge. The demeanour of Anna, along with the intimidation tactics used by her family and/or business partner is a stain on the image of tourism in Andros.
If you wish to have an enjoyable holiday, do consult another car hire firm. Cheers! |
